How to Use Weapon Cleaning Ultrasonics Q280 & Q650

Directions

Fill the tank of the Ultimate Weapon Cleaning System approximately two-thirds full. Use the proper ratio of water and Ultrasonic Weapon Cleaning Solution, following instructions on label.

Next, place the lubricating pan on top of the tank as show and rest on side-mounted handles. The lubricating Pan will be sitting in the Weapon Cleaning Solution that is in the tank. The level of the Cleaning Solution in the tank must be high enough to rise at least inches up the sides of the lubricating pan.

Fill the lubricating pan approximately 2⁄3 full with L&R Ultrasonic Weapon Lubricating Solution. This is a ready to use solution. Do not dilute.

Turn power on and run the ultrasonic for 10 minutes, allowing cleaning and lube solutions to degas.

Field strip the weapon, removing after-market specialty and wood grips (These should not be ultrasonically cleaned.). Place your parts into the mesh basket. Insert the basket into the ultrasonic. Set the timer for 10 minutes to initiate the cleaning cycle. The machine will automatically shut off at the end of the cleaning cycle.

When the cleaning cycle ends, remove the mesh basket. Do not remove parts from basket. Rinse thoroughly under running water (or if running water is not available, use a bucket of clean water). After rinsing, shake or use compressed air to remove as much water as possible. Pay special attention to areas where water may collect, including the firing pin area. Nestle the mesh basket into lubricating pan.

If you have a second mesh basket, field strip and place the next weapon in the second mesh basket. Insert this basket into the ultrasonic. Set the timer for 10 minutes to initiate cleaning cycle as before. You will now be lubricating the first weapon in the first mesh basket while cleaning the next weapon in the second mesh basket.

When cycle ends, remove the mesh basket from lubricating pan and allow it to drain. Remove parts from basket and lay them on clean towel or surface to air dry. Place those parts which still may have lube in them in a downward position to ensure proper drying. Your weapon will be completely dry in minutes.

If you are using a second mesh basket, remove this basket from cleaning cycle, and rinse thoroughly under running water or in a bucket filled with clean water. After rinsing, shake or use compressed air to remove as much water as possible. Next, place this mesh basket in the lubricating pan. Field strip next weapon, place it in the first mesh basket and repeat the procedure.

As weapon Is drying, punch the barrel with dry patch to remove remaining residue from Inside of barrel. Reassemble weapon and all to manufacturer's specifications.
