Excellent general purpose handpiece. Similar to the # 30 handpieces but with collets instead of Jacobs chuck.. Collet-type chuck handpiece accommodates accessories with shank sizes up to ¼" in diameter. Comes with three collets
³/32" (2.35mm),¹/8" (3.18mm) and ¼" (6.4mm), and pin and chuck wrench. Other fractional and metric collets are available separately and in Collet Set 440. These handpieces have "square drives" with positive sheath locking mechanisms (locking rings that must be used exclusively with either Series TXH motors shown above or with the discontinued Series H motors). The # 25 altamp; 25C handpieces are not members of the Foredom system of interchangeable handpieces. The heavy duty # 25C has permanently lubricated and shielded ball bearings for cool running continuous use. Precision collets from ¹/16" to ¹/4" and metric sizes are available. 1¹\32" diameter, 6¹/8" long. Introduced to the jewelry industry by Shor, in the 1960alt#39;s, the tool is most often used to make textures like "laser finish" and "bark finish" on jewelry, and to remove investment. Also used in other fields, such archaeology (for removing stone around fossils) and sculpture (excellent for stone carving). The unique method that the Airscribe uses to secure its replaceable stylus (cutting tool), insures that its reciprocating action (back altamp; forth action) always hits in a random pattern, giving a very nature look to the result.

This lightweight, air driven tool works on metal, stone, glass, plastic and wood. Operates economically on less than 1 cfm. Compressor not included. Comes with stylus, 8" reinforced hose and air filter.
